Seja's First Birthday!

It is hard to believe but Seja is already a year old. We are learning a lot right along with her. Her grandparents came over for dinner and cake and ice cream. She loved the gifts that she received. She really enjoyed her cake after she realized we really were going to let her dig in.

Seja's First Christmas

We had a fantastic Christmas. Amazing the difference when you have a child. I would have to say that this was one of my best Chriastmases yet. We were so fortunate to see so much of our family and to spend time with our loved ones. Although Seja didn't get the whole opening presents idea (see video to the left) she was so fun to see as we took part in all of our holiday games and festivities.
Seja slpet in until almost 8:30 which is great on Christmas morning. Cameron was about to go wake her up so we could open presents before church. She was still half asleep as we looked through what she got in her stocking.

Once she woke up more she was more eager to get the toy out of the box.  In the video below you can see that she was not as eager about her Christmas dress. Though she did look pretty cute in it. It was a great Christmas!!!

Kicking off the Christmas Season

Seja got to meet Santa for the first time at the Moore Christmas Party. When Santa got to the party we sang a few songs together and he read "The Night Before Christmas." Seja was very interested. She even kept her little Santa hat on as she shook the jingle bells for our singing. Looks like Cameron and Tyson were also very interested. Note their festive colored clothes :)
She did okay with Santa but it helped that he had candy too. I wasn't fast enough to get a picture but she pulled on his beard, like any curious child, to see if it was real. It was!

After Santa left we broke open a pinata. Seja didn't really want any candy but she loves her dad so she grabbed some Kit Kats for him.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we had Grandma and Grandpa Higham over. We smoked an "oh sooo delicious" turkey. Here is the bird in the smoker.
Here is Cameron carving the bird. You will have to take my word for it, it was delicious. It was great to have family over and enjoy sharing the blessings we have been given this year.
Here is Seja eating a roll,  just waiting for some of that other yummy food.

Whole Apple

I set an apple down on Seja's tray to entertain her for a moment while I got something else out to start feeding her. I didn't expect that she would just start to eat the apple whole. She is getting good use of all those teeth.

Seja's First Halloween

Seja is still a little young for Trick-or-Treating but we thought it would be fun to dress her up. She was an elephant. (That is her trunk on the front of her costume and tusks coming out near where her neck is.)

It took a little while but she finally was okay with the hat, which I think makes the costume. She did a little use out of it though. We did go to a business trunk-or-treat (Cameron was helping out with his office) and the ward party. She was a good sport!

Our Little Puppies

Our little dog, Binx, had puppies about five weeks ago. Here are a few more recent pictures.

Seja just loves playing with the puppies and loves when we get them out to walk around. She needs a little help still but she loves to give them hugs.
