Kicking off the Christmas Season
Seja got to meet Santa for the first time at the Moore Christmas Party. When Santa got to the party we sang a few songs together and he read "The Night Before Christmas." Seja was very interested. She even kept her little Santa hat on as she shook the jingle bells for our singing. Looks like Cameron and Tyson were also very interested. Note their festive colored clothes :)
She did okay with Santa but it helped that he had candy too. I wasn't fast enough to get a picture but she pulled on his beard, like any curious child, to see if it was real. It was!
Thanksgiving
This year for Thanksgiving we had Grandma and Grandpa Higham over. We smoked an "oh sooo delicious" turkey. Here is the bird in the smoker.
Whole Apple
I set an apple down on Seja's tray to entertain her for a moment while I got something else out to start feeding her. I didn't expect that she would just start to eat the apple whole. She is getting good use of all those teeth.

Seja's First Halloween
Seja is still a little young for Trick-or-Treating but we thought it would be fun to dress her up. She was an elephant. (That is her trunk on the front of her costume and tusks coming out near where her neck is.)
Our Little Puppies
Our little dog, Binx, had puppies about five weeks ago. Here are a few more recent pictures.

Fall
And this is our one and only pumpkin we got this year. It was kind of disappointing since pumpkins have always grown well for us in the past but... we will take it.
Precious Moments
Seja usually will only sleep in her bed and occationally in her carseat. Some how Cameron got her to sleep on him. Her two options this day were homework with mom or sports with dad, guess neither one sounded better than sleep.
I set Seja down on the floor with some kix cereal. I knew that they would end up all over the floor and yet I let her do it. She did pick about half of them back up, the other half the dog came in and ate.

Couple new pics
As you can see Seja is growing ... fast. I had these pictures taken just for fun by a friend who wanted to practice. Seja had some pretty good smiles. She was much happier to have her picture taken sitting rather than on her tummy but there were a few that turned out good on her tummy.

Easter
Every year Cameron's family goes on a camping trip over Easter. This year we went to Redmond (near Gunnison). It was a lot of fun despite the mud and cooler weather. Seja enjoyed playing with her cousin Libby. Libby sat her doll on Seja's lap and covered her up with the blanket. Then Libby climbed on the couch and under the blanket to be warm with Seja and the doll. They are too cute!
| Seja didn't seem to mind being out by the camp fire as long as she was bundled. She even shared her blanket with her cousin Toby. |
Baby Blessing
Seja was blessed April 10 but I am just now putting it on our blog. It was a really good day. In the morning we took a family picture since all of my brothers and sisters were able to make it and it is the last time we will all be together for a while. I think it turned out pretty good for just using our camera and a tripod.

RSV
Unfortunalty Seja came down with the dreaded RSV. Unfortunately, being so young and little, she needed medical help to start recovering. Unfortunately she had to spend two nights int he hospital. FORTUNATELY we do have heath insurance!!! I took her in for her two month well baby check up on Tuesday. I told the doctor I was a little concerned about some congestion in her sinuses and lungs. the doctor recommended that she be tested for RSV and the results quickly came back positive. the nurse suctioned out her nose and the doctored asked that we come back in the next day (Wednesday) since RSV peeks around days 4 and 5. Cameron came with us to the appointment since it was at 8:00am, before he needed to be to work. Long story short after a breathing treatment Seja fell asleep and her oxygen level dropped to 74. The doctor said that was too low and that Seja needed to be admitted to the hospital for observation. Since she was on oxygen she had to be transported by ambulance. Seja was doing well and so they took her off oxygen but kept her over night. Again over night her levels dropped so she got put back on oxygen. Thursday afternoon they took her off of the oxygen but needed to keep her over night again to be sure that she would be OK in a deep sleep. She did well over night and we were able to come home on Friday.
| Dispite all the monitors, breathing treatments, and succtioning she was still pretty happy |
A fresh coat of paint
We really enjoy making home improvements and while I have been home with Seja I thought that the bathroom would be a fun but simple project. We decided to just repaint it. The ceiling really needed fresh paint. For Family Home Evening we we went to Lowe's and picked out a color and bought the supplies and I started it the next day. I got the ceiling done on Tuesday and the walls done on Wednesday. It turned out pretty good if I do so myself. (I had to quickly get it done because we only have one bathroom and so we couldn't have the toilet tank off for too long. Plus we were watching some neighbor kids Thursday-Sunday so I really wanted everything all cleaned up by then.)

Small Change
Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and need a small change. So for our anniversary Cameron bought me a gift certificate to a nice salon so I could go..get a hair cut. Well I believe that if you are going to cut your hair quite a bit why not give the cut part away to help someone else. That is just what I did. I cut over ten inches off to send to "Locks of Love." I was very happy with the change, as was Cameron, since he likes short hair. It will just take a bit to get use to not so much hair.

You've been Jimmered
The other night I was holding Seja and watching Sports Beat with Cameron. We had heard that there was going to be a special music video with Jon Carter, LaVell Edwards, Chad Lewis and Shawn Bradley. I didn't want to miss it so I hadn't put Seja in her bed just yet. It came on and she started laughing and smiling all while her eyes were closed. I looked it up again on YouTube to see if she would do it again but it has yet to happen. She is turning into a cute little BYU fan!

Stream of milk
Today was a fun day with Seja. I can tell that she is growing because I can't wrap her as well in a receiving blanket because she is getting longer and my arms get tired faster it seems if I don't have them propped on a pillow as she eats. Today as I was nursing, I looked down at Seja and smiled. She locked eyes and smiled back. It was a big smile! However, she forgot to swallow first and out of the corner of her mouth came a stream of milk, down her chin, down her neck, and onto my arm. I couldn't help but laugh. I wish I could have captured it on video or gotten a picture but... well... that is a bit personal.

Our New Addition to the Family
On Jan 6th our little girl made her debut. She weighed 7lbs and 9oz and was 20 inches long. She is beautiful and a great little girl. We actually have to wake her up at night to eat. If she continues to eat frequently during the day we are going to start trying to let her sleep through the night. I don't want her to get in the habit of having to get up at night :) We really enjoy having her and look forward to many more memories together.
